DNPA Code of Ethics for Blogsinsight

PURPOSE

At Blogsinsight, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical standards in all areas of our work. This policy ensures that every associate conducts company affairs with integrity and adheres to all applicable laws, excluding any considerations of personal gain.

This document outlines company policy regarding:

  1. Gifts, favors, entertainment, and payments given or received.
  2. Potential conflicts of interest.
  3. Other professional and ethical responsibilities.

GENERAL POLICY APPLICATION

Gifts, Favors, and Payments by Blogsinsight

Gifts, favors, and payments may only be offered at company expense if:

  1. They conform to standard business practices.
  2. They are of modest value and not interpreted as bribes.
  3. They comply with applicable laws and ethical norms.
  4. Public disclosure would not damage Blogsinsight’s reputation.

Payments, commissions, or compensation to or for associates of clients (or their families) not specified in a written contract are strictly prohibited.

Gifts, Favors, Entertainment and Payments Received

Associates must not accept gifts, entertainment, or payments without a legitimate business purpose, especially from vendors, competitors, or stakeholders, except under the following circumstances:

Acceptable practices include:

  • Business meals, occasionally including spouses, if initiated by the vendor.
  • Small promotional items like calendars, pens, notepads, etc.
  • Event tickets (sports, arts, etc.) only if the vendor accompanies the associate and with prior approval.
  • Overnight or day outings (e.g., golf, fishing), with vendor presence and prior approval from a company officer.
  • Holiday gifts of perishable items (e.g., cookies, hams, etc.).
  • Cash or cash equivalents (stocks, gift cards, etc.) are strictly prohibited.

Management should not accept high-value gifts from subordinates.

Conflicts of Interest

Associates must avoid conflicts between personal interests and those of Blogsinsight. All situations that may appear as conflicts must be disclosed in writing to the associate’s manager.

Examples include:

  1. Ownership of a significant interest in a company that does business with Blogsinsight.
  2. Serving in a leadership or advisory role in a competitor or client company.
  3. Acting as an intermediary for a third party in a Blogsinsight-related transaction.
  4. Personal relationships that could compromise professional judgment.

Confidential Information

Unauthorized use, sharing, or misuse of confidential data — including personnel, editorial, or business information — is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action, including termination.

Compliance

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary measures up to and including termination. All associates are required to report violations. Each department head and officer is responsible for ensuring compliance. For any clarifications, contact Blogsinsight Human Resources.

Social Media Guidelines

Introduction

Use sound judgment. Always assume what you share is public — permanently.

Key principles:

  • Think before you post.
  • You represent yourself and Blogsinsight.
  • Perception is reality.

Understand Social Media

Social media includes all forms of internet communication: blogs, vlogs, forums, Facebook, Twitter (X), LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube, WhatsApp, Reddit, etc.

Know and Respect Company Policies

Ensure all posts align with Blogsinsight policies. Discriminatory, harassing, or violent content is not tolerated and may lead to disciplinary action.

Be Careful What You Post

You are personally responsible for your content. Even deleted posts may be archived or screenshotted.

Speak for Yourself, Not the Company

Clearly indicate your opinions are personal. If speaking about Blogsinsight, identify your role and add a disclaimer:
“The views expressed here are my own and do not reflect those of Blogsinsight.”

Be Respectful and Professional

Avoid malicious, obscene, defamatory, or threatening language. Respect others’ privacy and dignity. Avoid content that creates a hostile work environment.

Be Honest and Accurate

Always fact-check and correct errors quickly. Acknowledge past edits.

Respect Laws and Confidentiality

Obey copyright, privacy, and disclosure laws. Don’t share confidential company or third-party information without authorization.

Report Concerns

If you see behavior violating this policy, contact Human Resources. No retaliation will be tolerated for reporting concerns.

Plagiarism

Blogsinsight maintains a zero-tolerance policy against plagiarism. All work must be original or properly attributed to the source.

Fairness

Journalists must always seek both sides of any story. Those facing allegations should be given a fair chance to respond before publication. Balanced coverage is a core principle.
